Obituary

Edwards, Thomas E., 75, Johnstown, passed away September 15, 2017.  Born February 13, 1942.  Son of the late Thomas and Mildred (Horner) Edwards.  Preceded in death by parents; brother, Ronald Edwards, Johnstown, PA and granddaughter, Tia Edwards.  Survived by loving wife of 54 years, Rita (Miller) Edwards; sons, Douglas Edwards (Lisa Reavel), Johnstown, PA and Bradley Edwards (Mary Yingling), Sarasota, FL; brothers, Robert Edwards, VA, and Donald Edwards, Johnstown, PA; sisters, Beverly McHenry, Johnstown, PA, Faye Houston, Johnstown, PA and Patricia Brennan, Pittsburgh, PA; and grandchildren, Jacob, Cole, Alexis, and Ashton.  Tom was a 1960 graduate of Johnstown High and a 1964 graduate of IUP.  He was a former member of National Wild Turkey Federation and owner of J-town Johns and GMF Associates.  He was an avid Penn State Wrestling fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being with family and friends.  The family would like to give a special thanks to Arbutus Park Manor and Windber Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Tom.  Family and friends will be received Saturday September 23, 2017  from 3-4 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where a memorial service will follow, Nancy Hoover officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arbutus Park Manor at 207 Ottawa St., Johnstown, PA 15904 or to Windber Hospice at 600 Somerset Ave, Windber, PA 15963.
