May, Thomas J. – 93, Johnstown, passed away May 28, 2019 at Bethany Place in Indiana, PA.  Born January 26, 1926 in Johnstown. He was a son of the late Edgar  and Erma (Stauffer) May. Preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Arlene May, and several siblings. Thomas is survived by his wife Carol (Pearce) May; his children, James May, Johnstown; William May, Johnstown; Barbara Fertal (Garry), Blairsville; Wanda Cassick (Rick), Johnstown; his grandchildren Lisa and Laura; his great-grandchildren, Stephen, Cory, Keegan, and Kassidy; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Thomas served our country in the United States Navy. He was a retired coal miner. He was a longtime member of the Cramer United Methodist Church, and also a member of Menoher Post VFW #155. Thomas enjoyed CB radio, and absolutely loved fishing. Friends & family will be received on Sunday June 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Home, 146 Chandler Ave. A funeral service will be held on Monday June 3, 2019 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Carol Hickman, officiating. Interment will be in Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Menoher Post #155.
