Philibin, Tricia Ann, 35, Johnstown, passed away unexpectedly and went to be with the Lord March 17, 2017. Born March 30, 1981 in Johnstown, daughter of and survived by George and Grace (Stanton) Philibin, also of Johnstown. Preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Ann (Stanton) Chervick. Survived by sister, Karen Williams and partner Tracy Selak; nephew, Bryan Williams; great niece, Sofia Williams; her beloved dog, Buffy; uncle John and Aunt Joann Philibin; and special friend, Carl Neary. Tricia graduated with honors from Westmont Hill Top High School, earned an associate’s degree in medical assisting, attended Temple University and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She was a member of St. John Gualbert and was fluent in speaking Spanish. Tricia will be remembered as a gifted artist, accomplished musician and dancer. She possessed a huge heart and was willing to help anyone in need. Tricia had a wonderful sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and loved to make others laugh. She found her greatest happiness in spending time with family. Tricia was a selfless, gentle soul who loved deeply and was greatly loved by others. The world was a better place because Tricia was in it, and it will be emptier without her. At the request of the family, there will be no viewing. A private remembrance will be held at a later date.
