Kohan, Vindemiatrix Athena “Vindy”, 14, Johnstown, sadly passed away July 29, 2023, after injuries sustained in a house fire. Born March 10, 2009, in Cebu City, Philippines. Preceded in death by beloved big brother, Hugh Grant Jeanjaquet; father, John Kohan; grandfather, Nelson Jeanjaquet; and beloved dog, Leia. Survived by loving mother, Katherine Jeanjaquet-Kohan and father Tyler Skovensky; loving siblings, Hailey Jeanjaquet and Tucker Skovensky; maternal grandmother, Armida Kimpton and husband Peter; Pappy John Kohan; Mima Kelly Skovensky-Smith; aunts and uncles, Glesie and Dan Briosos; Arnel and Keith Jeanjaquet; Jacklord and Mirosol Jeanjaquet; Richard Kohan; Christine Strauch-Kohan and children; beloved dog, Bruno; numerous cousins; and countless friends. Vindy was going into her freshman year of high school at Bishop McCort where she loved being a cheerleader. She thoroughly enjoyed her 9 years of cheering for Dr. John Walker’s cheer program. Vindy was a server at O.M.O.S Catholic Church and enjoyed playing guitar, piano, and singing. She also enjoyed playing volleyball and had a great interest in astronomy and the stars. She loved her two dogs and enjoyed dog sitting for others. Vindy made friends with everybody she met. Family and friends will be received Friday August 4th from 2-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Father Mark Begly, officiating. Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery.
