Woollaston, Violet Louise, 92, Bellefonte, passed away January 19, 2022. Born May 30, 1929. Daughter of the late Charles E. Sr and Nellie (Crum) Walls. Preceded in death by loving husband of almost 39 years, Calvin Coolidge Woollaston; son, Gregory Woollaston; and siblings, Dorothy Lehman, Vivian Thomas, Betty Messick, Charles Walls Jr., and Shirley Hruska. Survived by daughters, Cynthia Taylor (Raymond) of DE, Aleta Martin (John) of PA, and Melody Williams (Tracy) of TX; sister, Virginia Jakubac; daughter-in-law, Lizbeth Woollaston; sister-in-law, Shirley Walls; grandchildren, Aaron Taylor (Christine), Amber Scott (Jonathan), Benjamin Woollaston (Amber), Zachary Woollaston (Krista), Jason Helman (Ashley), and Jessica Helman; great grandchildren, Aiden, Penelope, Fiona, Gwendolyn, and Lucy Taylor, Drew Scott, Elliott Helman, Aiden and Adalee Woollaston, and soon to be born, Elowyn Woollaston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Violet was a graduate of Wilmore High School, where she played violin and sang solos in dance band. She also graduated from beauty school, using her skills to do hair for her Arbutus retirement community for many years. Being a generally helpful person, she used her car to take other residents to doctor appointments. While still in good health in her retirement community, she regularly attended chapel services and enjoyed singing and going to any musical programs. She grew up in Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Violet loved keeping house and enjoyed visiting her beloved family. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902, where a service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., Pastor Raymond Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Dunmeyer Cemetery.
