Obituary

Sottile, Virginia M., 90, Johnstown, passed away on March 24, 2018, at Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on June 7, 1927 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Carl and Ethel (Costlow) Meyers. Preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Robert, and Francis. She is survived by her husband, John L. Sottile; her daughters, Marianne Roesch, and her husband Bernard, Johnstown; Diane Sottile, Johnstown; her grandchildren, Michael Roesch, and his fiancée, Jennifer Levine, Philadelphia; Melissa Roesch, Winchester, VA; her siblings, Marion Irwin, Davidsville; Carl Meyers, and his wife, Lorraine, Fallbrook, CA; Barry Meyers, Johnstown; Mark Meyers, Johnstown; Carol O’Connor, NY; and her special sister-in-law, Connie Meyers, Johnstown.  Virginia was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed reading and babysitting her grandchildren. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd.  Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Father Andrew Draper TOR, Officiating.
