McKinney, Warren Lee, 82, Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home on November 20, 2021. Born August 4, 1939, to the late Philip and Arvilla (Schmere) McKinney. Preceded in death by wife of 51 years, Carol (Bagley) and siblings, Donald “DJ”, Tom, and Ann. Survived by children, Lisa Dick and husband Russell; Diana Rummell and fiancé Stephen Snyder; Michael McKinney and wife Tammy (Reininger); siblings, William McKinney and wife Theresa; Phyllis Schlosser and husband David; and grandchildren, Dustin Rummell and wife Christine; Melinda Hamby and husband Jay; Donald James Rummell; Ryan McKinney and wife Ashley; Kara Snyder and partner Keith Wible; Joshua Dick; Taylor and Loren Snyder; and Jonathan Dick. Warren was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Desert Storm, Kuwait, and Iraq. He was assigned to 316th Station Hospital and separated from Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. He was a medical specialist for 9 years and an administrative specialist for 2 years. Warren was a lifetime season ticket holder at 1st Summit Arena and the proud curator of the Veteran Museum. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing poker and listening to Barbershop music. He loved setting up his Lionel train display every year for Christmas even though his favorite holiday was by far St. Patrick’s Day. Family and friends will be received Sunday November 28th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where a service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Burial and military honors to follow at Grandview Cemetery. Donations may be made in Warren’s memory to 1st Summit Arena to be used towards the Veteran Museum.
