Savering, William C. “Flea” “Pooh Bear”, 76, Richland, formally of Scalp Level and Dale Boro., died Nov. 24, 2015 at his home. Born March 18, 1939 in Johnstown to the late Cyril and Thelma (Burkett) Savering. Preceded in death by infant sister; niece, Susan Marie; nephews Gabriel; Robert Jr.; and in-laws, Joseph and Mary LaPorta. Survived by wife, Josephine (LaPorta) Savering; children, Christine “Chrissy” Kelly and husband Buddy; William C. Jr. “Billy” and wife Jocelyn (Dietz); grandchildren, Stephanie (Kelly) Radwanski and husband Jake; Shauna Kelly; Rylei and Katie Dietz; Abbie Savering; great grandchild, Caleb Radwanski; and brother, Robert Savering Sr. and wife Jo. William was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and National Guard. He was formally employed at WC McQuaide and retired from R-L Development after 25 years. In March, William and Josephine celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. William was a life time member of the Dale Fire Co., enjoyed going to the Jets hockey games, as well as going camping at Woodland Camp Ground in Ebensburg with his family. At William’s request there will be no visitation or service. Special thanks to Windber Hospice, hospice nurses Elisha Kegg and Bobbie Adams, and to a good friend Ginny Glattke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windber Hospice.
