Sharbaugh, William Earl Jr. “Bill”, 79, Ebensburg, formerly of Carrolltown, peacefully went to be with the lord on Friday March 11th  2016. He was surrounded by his loving family at the Palliative Care Department of Memorial Medical Center. Bill was born at home in East Carroll Township February 14, 1937 to Helen (Dranchak) Sharbaugh and William Sharbaugh Sr. Bill leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Jean (Baker) Sharbaugh, Daughter, Patricia Henry (Mark Lauffer), Granddaughter, Corlyn Hinson (Trent McConnell), and great granddaughter Aurora Hinson, all of Ebensburg.  Siblings include twin sister Sheila (Tom) Lamont, Bakerton, Barbara (Dwight) Henry, Ebensburg, Robert “Joe” (Elke) Sharbaugh, Killeen,TX, Helen Sharbaugh, AZ , Linda Sharbaugh,Ebensburg, Patrick (Twila) Sharbaugh, Spring Mills, PA, and numerous  nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Elizabeth Rocco, and Beverly Outram. Bill was a 1956 graduate of John Carrol High School, Carrolltown.  He was an entrepreneur; owning/operating Sharbaugh’s Beer Distributor and Carrolltown Amusement Company. Bill owned numerous Bars and Restaurants throughout the Carrolltown and Patton areas.  He filled his younger days as an active social member of the American Legion, VETS, and Carrolltown Fire Department. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, growing many award winning vegetables from his garden, and was the Pittsburgh Steelers biggest fan. Bill’s smile, along with his overall generosity would light up a room. He was known as the man who would “give the shirt off his back.”  Among Bill’s many accomplishments, his most prized was his family.  Bill was a devoted, loving husband of 40 years, a wonderful father, and grandfather. Bill was well respected and will be greatly missed by family and friends. No visitation per Bill’s request. The family will have a memorial mass held at St. Bendict’s Catholic Church, Carrolltown on Saturday March 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
