Jackson, William, 90, Altoona, died October 19, 2014 at Graystone Manor. Born May 3, 1924 in Altoona, Son of the late John E. and Margaret (Wimmel) Jackson. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucinda C. (Muri) Jackson, his son Thomas Jackson, his 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. He is survived by his sons Robert Jackson and his wife Kathy, Arlington, VA; William Jackson and his wife Mary Ellen, New Hope, PA; 7 grandchildren, 12 ½ great grandchildren. William served in the United States Navy on the submarine USS Seadragon during WWII. He retired from the U.S.P.S where he worked as a letter carrier. He was a member of the VFW, the Bavarian Aid Society, and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
