William R. Cobaugh, 62, of Ebensburg, went to rest in our Heavenly Father’s arms on October 14, 2020. Born July 6, 1958 in Johnstown, the son of the late Ralph and Gwendolyn (Rager) Cobaugh. Preceded in death by parents, and brother Edgar. Survived by brothers and sisters; Sadie Graham, Johnstown; Thomas (Susan) Cobaugh, Ebensburg; Sandy (Ron) Ferrell, Florida; John (Christine) Cobaugh, Ebensburg; Donald (Debbie) Cobaugh, East Conemaugh; and Barbara (Alan) Shoemaker, Nazareth, Pa. Bill was a graduate of Conemaugh High School an was proud to be a US Navy Veteran. He then received an Associate in Specialized Business Degree from Hiram G. Andrews Center and worked at CCABH. Bill was a member of the Monroeville Church of the Brethren; a devout Christian. Bill will always be remembered as a kind, gentle, caring soul. Bill’s hobbies included many years of plastic canvas, pixel art, and watching his beloved team – the Pittsburgh Steelers. He did get to accomplish the #1 item on his bucket list – to attend a Steeler’s game, and even received VIP treatment for the day. But Bill’s greatest joy came from helping care for his nieces and nephews through the years and watching them grow up. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to Windber Hospice and especially Marie, Mike, Sarah Jo, and Pastor Sinclair, for taking such wonderful care of our Billy. Honoring Bill’s wishes, there will be no viewing; a memorial dinner will be held at a later date, and any contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Bill’s memory.
