Garland, Winsome W., 71, Johnstown, passed away December 13, 2018 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born October 2, 1947 to the late George and Nellie (Kirkpatrick) Garland. Preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Richard. Survived by wife, Sandy (Kauffman) Garland; daughter, Amy Bush (Jeff); grandchildren, Silas, Jacob, Amie, Ella, Tessa, Lili, Owen, and Mady; sister, Rowena Witt (Gerald); and brother-in-law, Jim Kauffman (Holly). Win was a member of Salix Bethel United Methodist Church and a board member at Arbutus Park Manor. He was the orchestra director at Richland High School and a secretary of PMEA. Win enjoyed playing music. He was part of a German band, a Civic band, and the symphony. He enjoyed playing golf, home remodeling, and liked model trains. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday December 18 at Arbutus Park Manor Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arbutus Park Manor, 207 Ottawa St., Johnstown PA 15904.
