Meredith, Evelyn Jean, 77, Johnstown, passed away June 15, 2016 at home. Born December 22, 1938. Daughter of the late Sylvester and Evelyn (Desmonde) Gray. Preceded in death by husband, Donald Meredith. Survived by daughter, Evelyn “Maria” Waynik (Nicholas), Johnstown; grandchildren, Nicholas Jr. (Allison), Pittsburgh, Anastasia Flegal (Derrick), Johnstown, Christina Kurilla (Matthew), Pt. Marion, John, Johnstown, Kathryn Hill (Nicholas), Johnstown; and great grandchildren, Preston and Charlotte Waynik, Gabrielle and Jocelyn Flegal, and Zachary Kurilla. Evelyn was a cook at St. Xavier home for Nuns, Twin Echo Boy Scout Camp, and Antioch Church Camp. She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and Knights of Columbus #467. She loved her family; daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be held Saturday at 10 am at the church. Inurnment at Grandview Cemetery.
