Hancharik, Andrew F. (Tegda), 87, Windber, PA, went to be with Jesus August 7, 2016, Windber Hospice. Born August 5, 1929, in Wilbur, PA. Son of John and Elizabeth (Kuzma) Hancharik. Preceeded in death by daughter Mona (Hancharik) Toth; parents; brothers John, Joe, Mike and George; sisters Elizabeth, Ann, Pauline and Verna. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Viola (Zabrosky), daughters Carol Hancharik (Portage, PA), Doris (Hancharik) Blough (Altoona, PA), Mary Terese, wife of Randy Harkcom (Central City, PA), and son Michael Hancharik (Tampa, FL). Grandchildren, Amy Toth, fiancé of Mike Zarnesky (Windber, PA), John Blough (Altoona, PA), Emily and Mark (Central City, PA). Great grandchildren, Kylee and Tyler Lybarger, (Windber, PA). Also survived by sisters, Helen Petkosh, (Sidman, PA), and Mary Doxey, (Bridgeville, VA). Korean War Veteran, US Army Staff Sargeant. Member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, Windber, PA, where he served many years in the Choir and Holy Name Society. Lifelong member of Slovak Educational Club, Windber, PA. Avid hunter, fisherman and duckpin bowler. He loved finding and picking mushrooms (popinki). Retired coal miner, Bethlehem Mines #78. He was the best husband, dad and grandfather (Zedo) anyone could ask for. Andy requests no viewing. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Roderick N. Soha, T.O.R., officiating, Monday at 11 a.m., Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, Windber, PA. Committal Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Windber, PA.
