Leskosky, Joseph John, of Revloc, left this world on April 23, 2018 and is resting in the arms of the angels. Joe just celebrated his 92nd birthday on April 2. Preceded in death by his Mother and Father, siblings, Walter, Henry, Sadie, Sophie, and Katie. Joe was the last surviving member of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley (Gittings); daughters, Debbie (Ed) Ponchione, Nanty Glo; Karen (Terry) Mueller, Thornville, OH; and Christine (John) Cobaugh, Ebensburg; his grandchildren, Sara (Ryan) Hagerman, OH; Shawna Poliziani, OH; great grandsons, Lincoln and Oliver, special niece, Darnell; his best buddy, Buttercup. Joe was proud to serve his country as a corporal in the United States Army Air Force, he was stationed in Japan as an airways radio operator. Upon returning home he found the love of his life, he and Shirley got married in Virginia, and later moved to Florida. They wanted to move back to their roots, so they came back to PA, and bought the home that Joe grew up in, in good old Revloc. Joe was employed by the Ebensburg Center, Revloc Coal Mines, Jo-Ann Dress Factory, and was a retired Deputy Warden of the Cambria County Prison. He was a member of the Revloc Presbyterian Church, the Revloc VFW, and the American Legion, Ebensburg. His passion was his yard, he was always working outside, planting flowers, painting, or just resting on his swing in the sunshine. He loved scratching lottery tickets and listening to music with Shirley. Joe was a loveable guy, always joking, yet always passionate about his family and friends. At Joe’s request there will be no visitation or service. It is Joe’s wish for everyone to have happy thoughts and happy memories. Lyrics from Joe and Shirley’s favorite song, “and as two strangers met together, I felt I’d be with you forever, your eyes said welcome and love was there, and I would always see the love that is in your eyes”.
