Warner, Richard “Red” Blaine, 85, Johnstown, passed away April 24, 2018 at his home. Born September 21, 1932 to the late Walter and Dorothy (Reynolds) Warner. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 62 years, Evelyn; son, Thomas; brother, Bob; grandson, Adam. Survived by children, Denise Rygel (Rod); Dona Smith (Robin); Richard Warner Jr. (Teresa); Sandy Simko (Mark); brother, Jack Warner (Dorothy); aunt, Joan Murray; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and beloved dog, Quazi. Red was a Korean War veteran, having served in the Army and wearing two purple hearts. He was employed at Bethlehem Steel as an inspector and was a PIAA officiant. Red was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and a member of East Fork Sportsman’s Club, along with many other clubs. Red was a history buff. Friends will be received Sunday April 29 from 7-9 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where a service will then be held Monday at 11 a.m. Burial and military rites at Jenner Cross Cemetery. Special recognition to granddaughter, Sheena Simko-Hollingshead for all the loving care. Also, special thank you to Interim Hospice.
