Holtz, Joanne F. – 86, Hastings, passed away July 31, 2018 at UPMC Altoona. Born September 8, 1931 in Elder Township; she was a daughter of the late David and Mary E. (Kline) Kibler. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell A. “Hack” Holtz,  and her sister, Marilyn Frank. Survived by her children, Cindy Stowe and her husband Jeff, Becky Kelly, Russ Holtz, and Andrea Holtz; her grandchildren, Dr. Jill Kelly married to Dr. Brandon Miller, Bryan Kelly and his wife Catie, Matt Kelly and his wife Amanda, Scott Stowe, John Stowe, and Amanda Stowe. Joanne was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, she was member of the choir, and a church lector, she was a member of the Rosary Confraternity, Catholic Daughters of America, and the Hastings VFW Post #1586 Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as Secretary for 50 years. Joanne worked for the Cambria County Library-Hastings Branch for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cross stitch, playing cards, crossword puzzles, cooking and baking, and she was an avid bowler. She loved spending time with her family. Friends and Family will be received on Friday August 3, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St. Hastings, PA. Visitation will also be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 148 Beaver St. Hastings, PA  on Saturday August 4, 2018 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Father Thaddeus E. Rettger OSB, officiating. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joanne can be made to the Hastings Library, or to St Vincent De Paul.
