Sharpe, Thomas, 81, Southgate, MI, formerly of Johnstown, died July 7, 2019 at his home. Born July 23, 1937 to the late James and Rose (Martin) Sharpe. Preceded in death by siblings, James Sharpe (Virginia); Francis Sharpe (Theresa); and brothers and sisters in law, Mildred and Anthony; Mike; Helen; Irene and Al; Donald; and Peter. Survived by wife, Marian “Sally” (Uzelac); children, Mindy Forte and husband Kevin; Thomas Sharpe and partner Gretchen Goller; Peter Sharpe and wife Suzanne; Stacey Soltesz and husband Bill; grandchildren, Stefanie Burgh (Justin); Kevin Forte (Meghan); Kyle Forte (Alyssa); Carolyn, Alexis, Lauren, and Nicola Sharpe; great grandchildren, Mallory, Hunter, and Blake Burgh; Claire Forte; Isabella Sharpe; Anna Forte; brothers and sisters in law, Sylvia; Robert; Bernard and Peggy; Joanne; Steven and Judy; Carol and Bill; Natalie and John; Darlene and Nicholas; Samuel; Richard and Jeff; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thomas was a former Science and Physical Education teacher. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Fraternity of Eagles, and the American Legion. Thomas enjoyed many sports and teams and was an all-around sports fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing horseshoes and cards. Thomas also loved camping trips to Sugar Springs. Friends will be received Thursday July 11 from 5-7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where a service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held in MI at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Knights of Columbus.
