Bair, Marcy A., 52, Johnstown, passed away March 8, 2021 at Villa Crest. Born July 22, 1968. Daughter of Harvey R. and Catherine A. (Pollino) Bair. Preceded in death by father; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Harriet Bair; and maternal grandparents, Angelo & Geneive Pollino. Survived by mother; brothers, Brian (Lisa), Craig (Helen), Corey (Jodie), and Randy, all of Johnstown; nieces and nephews, Bria, Halle, Lila, Harper, Brendon, Laiken, Reese, Bailee, Bryce, and Reagan; and numerous aunts and uncles. Marcy touched the hearts of many. Despite her disabilities, she lived life to the fullest. She was kind to all and had a smile that was truly infectious. She shared an inseparable bond with her mother, Cathy. They were always together. Marcy also had a special place in her heart for her Gram Pollino. She worked at the Association of the Blind for over 20 years. She enjoyed attending Camp Parc with her friends, especially her long-time friend, Mary Ann Appley. She participated in the Special Olympics, including bowling, volleyball, basketball, and skiing. She loved swimming, dancing, coloring, attending church festivals, drinking beer, fighting with her brothers, sneaking snacks, and making people laugh. She was an avid sports fan and was the one cheering (or swearing) the loudest in the stands, especially for her brothers, nephews, and nieces. She was easy to spot, decked out in fan gear and toting her stuffed animals. She had amazing ability to memorize scores, stats, game schedules, and players of her favorite teams. There is not a doubt in our minds that today in Heaven, the Steelers won the Superbowl, the Penguins won the Stanley Cup, and the Pirates even won the World Series (LOL), and Marcy Bair was cheering the loudest as she watched it all! The family would like to thank all the caregivers involved with her care the past few years, including all the personal caregivers, Crossroads, Windber Hospice, Interim Hospice, and the staff at Villa Crest. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Ray Streets officiating. Interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Parc at 196 E. Campus Ave., Davidsvile, PA 15928. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
