Vickroy, Raymond C. “Captain Hook”, 78, Johnstown, passed away at the Lutheran Home April 10, 2021. Born February 26, 1943 to the late Conrad and Minnie (Geyer) Vickroy. Also preceded in death by daughter, Michele Vickroy; brother, Chuck Vickroy; sister, Betty Zeman; stepsister, Blanche Vickroy; in laws Alvin C. and Helen Ashcom; brothers in law, Alvin Ashcom, Charles Ashcom; sister-in-law, Mert Shuhayda.

Survived by wife of 52 years, Helen (Ashcom) Vickroy; son, Raymond Allen (Wendy) Vickroy, Richland; daughter, Cynthia Ann (Nick) Conzatti, Geistown; grandchildren, Hayley, Lexi, and Jack; and brother, Ron (Pat) Vickroy, Garfield Heights, OH.; sisters in law, Patty Thomas, Dottie (Dale) Copper, Judy Ashcom; brothers in law, Greg (Sandy) Ashcom, Bernie Shuhayda; many nieces and nephews; Handyman,Lawn Specialist, and good friend Rich Berkey.

Raymond was a member of the Albright Methodist Church, and GCIU Union. He served in the Navy from 1961 to 1966. Raymond belonged to the Richland American Legion, Wounded Warriors, Fleet Reserve Association, and graduated from the Greater Johnstown High School class of 1961. Raymond worked at The Tribune where he retired as a a pressman after 34 years

Friends will be received at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., April 24, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the service to follow at 1 p.m.
