Heinlein, Betty Louise “Tootsie”, 82, Johnstown, passed away April 14, 2022, at Richland Healthcare. Born January 4, 1940, to the late Frank and Sophie (Rykala) Kobal. Preceded in death by loving husband, James “Hiney” Heinlein, and brothers, Tom “Zeke” Kobal and Jim “Peanuts” Kobal. Survived by sons, Kevin Heinlein (Kristine); Shawn Heinlein (Erin); grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney, Logan, Shawn Jr., and Hudson Heinlein; brothers, John “Kobie” Kobal (Nancy); Edward “Hop” Kobal (Mary); sisters-in-law, Connie Kobal; Lorrie Kobal; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tootsie enjoyed going to all of her grandchildren’s sporting events, sitting on the hill in her red chair cheering them on. She could often be found sitting at her table doing crafts. She also loved to bake. Her homemade gobs will be dearly missed. Special thank you to the nurses at Richland Healthcare for their compassionate care. Baba will be sorely missed. Family will receive friends Tuesday April 19th from 3-7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Church of the Transfiguration. Rev. Robert C. Hall, officiating. Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Franklin Borough Vol. Fire Company, 1125 Main St., Johnstown, PA 15909.
