Obituary

HINDMAN – Robert W., 61, Mountaindale, Harrisburg, died January 4, 2009 at home with his family and special friends, Tim Wilt and Tom Kramer. Born August 31, 1947 in Johnstown; son of William T. and Dorothy (Curran) Hindman. Preceded in death by father and father-in-law, Charles M. Reese. Survived by mother; wife, Bonnie (Reese) Hindman and mother-in-law, June A. Reese, both of Mountaindale; son, Chris Raisig and wife Jill, Felton, PA; daughter, Heather Raisig, Carlisle, PA; brother, Tom Hindman, and wife Shirley; nephews, Bill Hindman and wife Prudy and Brad Hindman and wife Jenn, all of Johnstown; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 3 great nieces. He was a retired physical education teacher for Harrisburg City Schools. Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Johnstown and attended the Penbrook Church of God in Harrisburg. Also a member of Post 730 American Legion, Progress Fire Company Home Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and NRA. Bob was also an avid outdoorsman and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Friends received Thursday, January 15th, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Rd., Pastor Phillip Scott officiating. Friends will also be received in Johnstown on Saturday, January 17th from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3 p.m. at the Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Johnstown, PA 15902, Pastor Beth Brashear officiating. At the request of the deceased memorial contributions can be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, 246 Chandler Ave., Johnstown, PA 15906.
