Obituary

Shannon, Carolyn J., 73, Johnstown, died October 27, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 13, 1938 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Edminston) Rishell. Preceded in death by sister Joanne Thomas and brother Daniel Rishell. Survived by husband of 53 years, Ernest E. Shannon, Johnstown; daughters Wanda Zielke, Pontiac, MI and Patricia, married to Karl Kelly, Johnstown. Also survived by grandchildren, Christopher Chrisman; Jamie Slater; Anthony Belknap and Travis Kelly; great-granddaughter Hailey Brandon and sister Ellen Patterson, Fishertown and brother Cliff Rishell, Charles. At the request of the family, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11am Tuesday at the Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Pastor John Mangus, officiating.
