Obituary
Korlewitz, Harry Robert, Bob, 70, Johnstown, died November 20, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 14, 1941 in Johnstown, son of the late Harry and Helen (Smith) Korlewitz. Preceded in death by father-in-law, John Boyarsky.
Survived by wife of 43 years, the former Linda Boyarsky, Johnstown; sons, D.J., married to the former Gayelynn Vaughn, Duncannon, PA and Robb, married to the former Lynne Heisey, Crofton, MD; Paps princess, granddaughter Deena Lynn Korlewitz; sisters Elayne, married to Rev. James Hay, Lake Forest, CA and Debbi, married to Warner Barate, Seward. Also survived by mother-in-law, Pauline Boyarsky, Johnstown and many special fishing, hunting, golfing and other friends.
Bob was a computer operator for Bethlehem Steel Corp. until his retirement in 1985. After his retirement, Bob loved to hunt, golf and fish. He was also a graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School; a US Army National Guard Veteran; a member of the North Fork Country Club, where he was a longtime member and played with the Back Niners; SNPJ Lodge 749; St. Clair-Tremont Trap and Field Club; Windber Sportsmans Club and several other organizations.
Bob was a member of the Board of Directors at Citizens Cemetery Association. He stocked fish with the PA Fish and Boat Commission and loved the outdoors. For many years he enjoyed caddying at Laurel Valley Golf Club and was an excellent story teller.
Bob was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where friends are invited to a funeral service on Tuesday at 11am. At Bobs request, there will be no viewing and no flowers.
