Obituary

Berkebile, Robert G. 67 Hollsopple died February 25, 2012 at home. Born August 3, 1944 in Blough. Son of the late Harold and Nettie (Housel) Berkebile.

Proceeded in death by brothers Kimmel & Melvin.

Survived by wife Joyce M. (Cortese) Berkebile and these children; Tyler D. Hollsopple, Robert G. of Westchester,Pa and Laura L. Drenner of Johnstown. Grandchildren Kyle and Dillon Drenner and Alayna and Aleah Berkebile. Brother of Reba Atwell of Brookville, Fl, Betty Inscho of Bedford, Pa, Mervin of Johnstown, Jean Bogia of Perrysville, Md, Donald of Hollsopple, Ellis of Windber, Gary of Accident Md and Dawna Berkebile of Hollsopple. Also survived by special friends Christopher and Rosie Cortese and their daughter Kylie and Uncle Julius Cortese.

Robert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed gardening, raising cattle, hunting, and restoring tractors. He was a policeman and detective for the Conemaugh Twp. Somerset County Police Dept. for 13 years and also worked as a electronic technician for MEI and DataLan. Robert was a member of the Bens Creek Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday March 3 at the Bens Creek Kingdom Hall brother John DeSantis officiating. Arrangements in charge of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care”.
