Obituary

On Sunday, September 1, 2013 the Lord lifted Donna Dee Armour into His arms and took her home to live eternally with Him. Born July 13, 1933 in Lucerne Mines, PA to Paul E. Cramer and Elizabeth (Patterson) Cramer. She graduated from Indiana High school Indiana PA where she was a majorette in the band. Dee became a secretary to the President of Coca Cola Bottling Co. Indiana PA where she met her husband, James W. Armour. She was mother of Carol Lee and Keith Leslie, grandmother of Kyra Elizabeth, Raymond James (RJ) and Keith Aaron and great-grandmother to Gabriel. She served her Savior Jesus Christ singing in the choir, was active in the United Methodist Women, Adult Bible Study and Eucharistic Ministry. She volunteered as the Co-Chair of the Bereavement Team at Windber Hospice in Windber PA for 20 years after the tragic death of her son Keith to comfort and minister to others in grief. Dee also delighted in volunteering at the Community Arts Center of Cambria County in Johnstown. Her gifts of organization and direction were used in many ways both at her church and in her community.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Paul and Elizabeth, brother, Ron, sister, Carol and son, Keith. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James W. Armour, daughter, Carol (Ray), granddaughter, Kyra (Sam), grandsons, Raymond (RJ) and Keith and great-grandson, Gabriel; along with many dear friends and family spread across America and the world.
The family requests that you remember Dee by supporting the following organizations: Franklin Street United Methodist Church, Johnstown PA, Community Arts Center of Cambria County, Johnstown PA, and Windber Hospice, Windber PA.
Friends will be received on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Franklin Street United Methodist Church located at the corner of Locust and Franklin St., Johnstown; where a Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11 a.m.
