Obituary

HESS – Judith A., 70, Sebring, FL, was called home by God on Aug. 7, 2014, at Latrobe Regional Hospital. Born Apr. 23, 1944, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Rev. Howell and Anna (Ritenbaugh) Jones. Survived by her husband, Rev. Cecil D.; son, Brian (Melissa), Hollidaysburg; daughter, Susan, Morrisville; and two grandchildren: Aria and Ethan. She was preceded in death by a son, Barry. Judy is a graduate of Bethel Park High School. She married Cecil D. in 1967 and served as a faithful pastor’s wife, singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday school. Judy also enjoyed shopping, traveling, and crossword puzzles. She was a dedicated mother to her children, whom she loved unconditionally. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 17 at 2pm, Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 856 Benshoff Hill Road, Johnstown, with Rev. Philip King officiating. Words of appreciation are extended to the staff of Latrobe Airport and Latrobe Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.
