Obituary

Bennett, Darlene Ida, 75, Richland Township, passed away August 1, 2018 at her home. Born February 16, 1943 to the late Joseph and Anna Marie (Kegg) Hipp. Preceded in death by son, John Bennett III; and siblings, James Hipp and Jean Swinger. Survived by husband, John Bennett Jr.; daughter, Deanna Dukery; siblings, Joan Shirk; Joe Hipp; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Darlene was a member of First Lutheran Church on Vine St. and was employed for most of her life at the former Church of the Brethren Home as a nurse’s aide and cook. She enjoyed gambling, cooking, and was a big shopper on QVC and HSN. Friends will be received Sunday August 5 from 2-6 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where additional viewing will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Darlene’s nephew Mike, officiating.
