Obituary

Brown, Harvey R. – 79, Johnstown, passed away September 1, 2019, at Laurelwood Care Center. Born July 18, 1940, son of Harvey and Mary (Fabry) Brown. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy A. (Clark) Brown, his son, Harvey R. Brown Jr., “Pidgeon”, “Ricky”, “Fish”, and nephew Edward Jancar. Survived by son James C. Brown, who was his #1 advocate and caregiver in recent years; his sister, Patricia Jancar (William), niece and Nephews, Paula Stoneman (Jeff), Martin Jancar (Mandy), and Billy Jancar, all reside in Ohio; Sister-in-laws, Donna Britt (Ron), Supply, NC; Arden Cloutier, Connecticut. Harvey was a veteran of the United States Army and served from 1959-1964. He was formerly employed by Bethlehem Steel, Pratt Whitney, Butler’s Garage, ACME, he also made Jewelry boxes, and worked at a Gun factory. Harvey liked to fish, watch old tv shows and Western movies. In recent years Harvey struggled with many health issues, including cancer, he did his best to live life despite his issues up until his very last day.
