Obituary

Sharpe, Marian “Sally”, 84, Southgate, MI, formerly of Johnstown (Franklin Boro), died February 4th, 2021. Born November 4, 1936 to the late Sava and Minnie (Varnish) Uzelac. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Sharpe, whom she married February 11, 1961; sisters, Mildred, Helen, Irene; brothers, Donald “Dino”, Peter and Richard; brothers-in-law, Anthony, Mike, Alex, James and Francis; and sisters-in-law, Theresa and Virginia. Survived by children, Mindy Forte and husband Kevin; Thomas Sharpe and partner Gretchen Goller; Peter Sharpe and wife Suzanne; Stacey Sharpe-Soltesz and husband Bill; grandchildren, Stefanie Burgh (Justin); Kevin Forte (Meghan); Kyle Forte (Alyssa); Carolyn, Alexis, Lauren, and Nicola Sharpe; great grandchildren, Mallory, Hunter and Blake Burgh; Claire and Anna Forte; Isabella Sharpe; and Dax Forte; sisters, Sylvia, Carol, Darlene, and Natalie; brothers, Bernard, Stephen, and Samuel; sisters-in-law, Peggy, Joanne, and Judy; brothers-in law, Robert, John, Bill, Nicholas and Jeffery; and many nieces and nephews. Sally worked for an insurance company and was a volunteer at Wyandotte Hospital in Michigan. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook and bake for her family. Her entire family was the most important thing in her life. She found the good in everything and was always positive and looked on the bright side. Sally was loved by everyone, always friendly, happy and with a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her, but more so by her loving family. Friends will be received Friday February 12th from 11 a.m. until time of Mass at 12 p.m. at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at Atz.org, as a Tribute Donation to Marian “Sally” Sharpe or to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Johnstown, PA.
