Obituary

Richard H. Rudnik Sr., 93, of Mt. Hope, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Martha’s Manor in Lilly. Born March 17, 1930, in Charles, PA; a son of the late Gust and Katherine (Koontz) Rudnik. Also preceded in death by wife Rosalyn (Wilson) Rudnik; brothers, Harry, Ed, and Wilbur Rudnik; sisters, Edie Wilson and Evelyn Gesche. Survived by children, Mark Rudnik (Trudy), South Fork, Marcia McDowell, Windber, Richard Rudnik Jr. (Heike), State College; brother, Gust Rudnik Jr, Tenn, sister, Helen Rudnik, Armagh; 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; special flea market friends, Fran and Wayne Loar. Richard served in the US Army and retired from Bethlehem Steel where he was a crane operator. Richard and Rosalyn were vendors at many local flea markets.  Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Richard’s family would like to thank Dolores Wilson for her help and the staff at Martha’s Manor for the care and kindness they showed Richard while he was there.
