Obituary

Wesley Dale Harrison, aged 65, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2024, in his hometown of Johnstown, PA. Born on February 13, 1959, in Johnstown, he was the son of Agnes M. Bouch and James Harrison.

Wesley attended Ferndale Area High School / Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center (Auto body) he was an eccentric person while still being well-known for his funny, outgoing personality and his vast knowledge on a variety of topics. He loved his family with his whole heart. He had a profound love for the outdoors, which was evident through his hobbies that included fishing, bird watching, and gardening. Wesley also had a passion for cars, trains, and was exceptionally skilled at fixing things, a talent that brought him much joy.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Charlotte Harrison; daughter, Natalie Harrison; son, Shone Harrison; step-son, Oliver Matelijan; step-daughter, Amy Nutting; siblings, Craig, Neal, Lori, Karen, and Brenda; grandchildren, Bradley Harrison (Michaelle Harrison), Allyson Zangaglia (Anthony Zangaglia), Caden Boring, Mike Grumbling (Genevieve Anderson), and Mia Nutting; great-grandchildren, Harlynn Harrison, Easton Harrison, Riley Grumbling, and Grayson Grumbling. Wesley was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes M. Bouch; father, James Harrison; sibling, Bruce; and ex-wife, Brenda Harrison (Leventry).

The family has entrusted Hindman Funeral Home with the arrangements. Wesley’s life was one of vibrant engagement with the world around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and the joy of discovery will live on in his family and many friends.
