Obituary

Ethel Brehm, 99, Johnstown, passed away on August 23, 2025. Born August 2, 1926, in Johnstown, to the late Joseph and Mary (Zdravecky) Stefanik. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George Brehm, Sr.; son, George Brehm, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Younkin; grandson, Jeremy Brehm; brothers, Albert, Joe, Frank, Steve, William, and Tony; sisters, Mary, Anna, and Irene. She was the last surviving member of her family. Survived by her son, Robert (Lori); son-in-law, George Younkin; grandchildren, Greg Younkin, Gary Younkin (Kim), Gail Ferguson (Ray), Jason Brehm (Lynn), Matt Brehm (Jessica), Mandi Engel (Kyle); great grandchildren, Meagan, Zachary, Logan, Leyna, Caleb, Cassidy, Jade and Colton. Numerous nieces and nephews. Ethel loved to read, music, the flea market, and holidays with family. Her most enjoyable moments in life centered around her family, grandchildren, and God. She enjoyed the love of her family, friends, and will be greatly missed. She was a long-time member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church. For many years she started her day by saying the holy rosary. She was a loving person with a heart for God. She had the ability to inspire and motivate. She was in Party Plan with Celebrity Jewelry for 25 years with management of South Western Pennsylvania. Ethel and George were also in the real estate rental business. Ethel will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery.
