Obituary
Nicholas R. Konior, 59. Hastings, died peacefully the evening of January 10, 2026, with family by his side. He was born September 20,1966 at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage, AK, the son of Robert J. and Marianne H. Konior. Nick was preceded in death by his Dad and sister-in-law, Audrey Brothers-Konior. He is survived by his Mom, siblings and family: Joseph, Louis (Christine Ambrisco. Jonathan), Michael (Jessica Becker; Owen Bork), Roberta (Brian Ganoe: Mackenzie and Kyle Dunkle, Oaklynn, Beau, Skyler; Bailey, Brooke, Regan Ganoe), and Mary (Donna Jackson). He is also survived by other nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. He was employed by Family Psychological Associates, Indiana, PA as a community counselor.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Cinematography at Penn State, a Masters in Communications at Ohio University, and a Masters in Community Counseling at Mt. Aloysius. He was a world traveler, spending a semester of studies in England, serving two years in the Peace Corps in Micronesia, teaching in Indonesia, traveling throughout Europe, teaching English as a Second Language in Los Angeles, and then returning to PA in 2014 to help care for his Dad.
He valued helping others. He continued on his Soul Path as a psychic medium, reading in Johnstown, Altoona, Indiana, and Hastings. He was able to deeply engage with friends in Lily Dale, NY. He encouraged people to live life now instead of waiting until tomorrow as he has continued to work for God. He also prayed Zosia, whom Nick cared for after his Dad’s death, is comfortable in her old age.
Family and friends will be received at the Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, Hastings on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 2pm until 5pm, with a prayer service at 4:45. A Celebration of Life with food and fellowship to follow. Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Hastings.
