Obituary

Judith A. Beneigh, 81, Johnstown, passed away Feb.10, 2026, at Richland Rehabilitation. Born Jul 5, 1944, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Arthur and Roseanne (Greer) Beneigh. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Darlene Purpiglio (George) and Connie Schwab (Roger). Survived by nephews David Purpiglio, George Purpiglio (Diana), and nieces, Connie Kleinosky (David), Wendy Schwab, and Julie Shrivastava (Vic). Also survived by numerous grand-nephews and nieces. She is survived by her animals Gracie, Sadie, Callie. Judy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Johnstown. She taught elementary school in the Greater Johnstown school system. She was an avid member and officer of the Johnstown Women’s Bowling Association throughout her life. Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 19 at Hindman Funeral Home on Frankstown Rd from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service held at 12 p.m. with Pastor James West.
