Simkovic, John W. Jr.,74, Johnstown, born December 23, 1940 in Johnstown, died February 7, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center.  Son of the late John W. and Verna (Matava) Simkovic Sr. Preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Delores Penna.  Survived by loving wife of 51 years, Agnes M. (Dolence); his daughter, Amy Jo Dull, Virgina; his brother Thomas and his wife Dolores, Irwin, PA; his sister Carol (Dr. Charles) Nelson, Greenville, NC; his sister Mary Clair (Edward) Furman, Johnstown.   John was employed by the City of Johnstown Police Department where he served for over 25 years, and retired after serving as Captain of the department for the last 5 years of his career. He was a member of the Faternal Order of Police for more than 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He loved his Steelers.  At the request of the family, services will be private and held at the family’s convenience.
