Obituary

Koontz, Clifton Eugene, 89, Belmont, died December 17, 2013 at Scalp Level Church of the Brethren Home. Born April 3, 1924 in Rockwood, son of the late Howard and Mary (Ansell) Koontz. Preceded in death by brother, Robert and sister, Doris Hoover. Survived by wife Luella M. (Weimer) Koontz, to whom he celebrated 67 years of marriage in October, Belmont; sons, Terry E., married to the former Laura Kerr, Connecticut and Clifton Edward, Windber; granddaughter, Terri Lynn and sister, Phyllis Butler, Somerset. Clifton was a US Army veteran having served in Japan in WWII. He was a driver salesman for Galliker Dairy for 40 years and was a member of Mt Calvary Lutheran Church. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of the Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mt Calvary Lutheran Church or the Scalp Level Church of the Brethren Home.
