Obituary

Himes, Doris Louise, 75, Johnstown died January 7, 2010, at Windber Hospice. Born April 15, 1934, in Johnstown, daughter of the late William and Lillian (Findley) Duman. Preceded in death by husband, Robert C. Himes Sr., and these brothers and sisters, William Hearn; Calvin Hearn; Mildred Saintz; Joseph Dean Duman; Wilma Page; Lona White and Marlin Duman.

Survived by these children, Rita Smith, Johnstown; Roberta Varholak and husband Robert, Gas Center; Donna Jamison and husband Nick, Seward; Brenda Baserman and husband Sherdan, Morrisville, PA; Deborah Grech and husband Richard, Johnstown; Kimberly Morgan and husband Brian, Johnstown; Robert Himes Jr. and wife Diane, Johnstown; Dustin Nave and husband Gerard, Crabtree, PA; Stacey Saloka and husband David, Johnstown; and William Himes and wife Aimee, Johnstown. Also survived by 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and sisters Verna Clark, Mass.; Lois Rayhart, Florida; and brother Louis Wayne Duman, Johnstown.

Doris was an original member and board member of the 7th Ward Ambulance Association, a member of the Crimewatch Program, and loved building puzzles and playing bingo. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing. A private Memorial Tribute will be held in honor of Mrs. Doris Himes on Friday, January 15th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to William Himes C/O Franklin Johnstown FCU, 544 Vine Street, Johnstown, PA 15901. Inurnment will be private at the family’s convenience.
