Obituary

WARD – James R., Windber, formerly of Moxham where he grew up, died October 31, 2009 at Windber Hospice. Son of the late John D. and Margaret B. (King) Ward. Preceded in death by son, Bruce Ward and grandson, Luke Kania.

Survived by loving wife, Evelyn (Fornias) Ward, Windber; children, James Ward Jr., Lester; Eileen Ruth Ward, Cape May, NJ; Jaqueline Ward, Prospect Park; Jill Grande, Glen Mills; and13 grandchildren.
US Marine Veteran of WWII. He was a Salesman for Philadelphia Gas Sales & Service in Philadelphia where he lived for many years before retiring to Windber.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 7th at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Upper Darby, PA. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to Windber Hospice in his memory.
