Moehler, Russell W., “Ducky”, 98, Woodvale, died December 10, 2013 at the Atrium Manor. Born June 26, 1915 in Cover Hill. Son of the late John and Minnie (Mintmier) Moehler and step-mother, Martha Rudnik. Preceded in death by wife, Edith N. (Smethurst); daughters, Margie Ann and Shirley A.; son, Robert C. and brother, Chester J. and longtime friend, Kay Koscienski. Survived by son, George and wife, Garetta, Johnstown; daughter-in-law, Margie, Windber; step-brother, Donald, Erie; granddaughters, Michelle, wife of Danny Fry, Ohio; Melissa, wife of Robert Meikrantz, Maryland and Lori, wife of Robert Kichler, Johnstown and great-grandchildren, Jesse; Savannah; Carter; Barrett and Hayden. Russell retired from Bethlehem Steel, Coke Plant with over 41 years of service. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a lifetime member of the Woodvale Olympic Club. He enjoyed painting and golfing. Ducky will be truly missed by his loving family. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service on December 28th at 10am at the Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Rev. Alice Tondora, officiating.
