Obituary

Donna L. Pollino, 88, Johnstown, passed away on January 28, 2026. Born on October 4, 1937, to the late Charles, Sr., and Melvina (Flook) Gustkey. Preceded in death by her grandson, Frank E. Meyers II; siblings, Robert Gustkey, Ernie Gustkey, and infant brother, Franklin Gustkey; and in-laws, Rachel Gustkey, Kenneth Zimmerman, Sr., Anna Mae Gustkey, Viola Gustkey, George Boring. Survived by loving husband of 62 years, Patrick Pollino; children, David Pollino, Sr., (Kim), Annette Vamos (John), Christopher Pollino (Maryellen), Laura Pollino (Mike Pleskovic), and Paul Pollino (Stacy); grandchildren, David Pollino, Jr., Daniel Pollino (Sheri Britton), Darla Ochenrider (Donald), Jessica Kokoski (Issac), Kara Bernard (Andrew), Leah Nace (Greg), Emily Pollino (Evan Yost), Samantha Pollino (Jack Foust), and Angela Benson (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Jakob, Cohen, David, Tanner, Westen, Hudson,  Ian, Henry, Patrick, and Logan; siblings, Charles Gustkey, Jr., Sue Zimmerman, Pearl Zimmerman (Robert), James Gustkey (Chris), William Gustkey, David Gustkey (Patty), Thomas Gustkey, Julius Gustkey (Debbie), Rebecca Boring, Linda Gustkey, John Gustkey (Sharon), Paul Gustkey (Tammy). Joyce Hohan (Dave); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was a very charitable women with a heart of gold. She was a proud organ donor. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church and was strong in her faith. Donna worked as an LPN at Lee Hospital and for many years at Sears in the Richland Mall. Donna enjoyed puzzling with her husband. She was a skilled seamstress and made Halloween costumes for generations of her family. Above all else she enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a special bond with each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by them.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Hindman Funeral Homes, 1521 Frankstown Road, from 10:00am until the time of service at 1:30pm. Pastor Nyla Cogan from St. Thomas Lutheran Church will be officiating. Donna will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude or to the American Diabetes Association.
