Obituary

Podvojsky, Edward David, 83, Johnstown, passed away July 12, 2025, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born February 18, 1942, to the late Albert and Susanna (Churilla) Podvojsky. Preceded in death by wife, Eileen (Mangus) Podvojsky; and siblings, Albert, Mary, Bernadine, Margaret, John, Ann, and Michael. Survived by son, Ron Podvojsky and wife Francine; grandson Elijah Podvojsky; brother, Joe Podvojsky and wife Dani; special niece, Nancie Stamey; and numerous other nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family. Ed was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He adored his dogs and was an avid collector of wolves. Family will receive friends Friday July 18th from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Home,146 Chandler Ave. Mass to follow at 12 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 536 Decker Ave. Rev. Bernard Karmanocky, O.F.M, officiating. Committal to follow at St. Stephen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
