Janet Faye Rector, 85, Johnstown, passed away on February 25, 2026. Born on May 5, 1940, in Lisbon, Ohio, to the late Clarence Martin and Mary Irene (Parsons) Toot. Preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Rector; daughter, Kimberly Bruner; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. Survived by her children, Daniel Bruner of Salem, OH, Ronald Bruner (Tammy) of Salem, OH, David Bruner (Amber Dunlap) of Johnstown, PA, and daughter, Karen Gustkey of East Conemaugh, PA; grandchildren, Danielle Barber (Joe) of Negly, OH, Deanna Bruner of Salem, OH, Douglas Bruner of Salem, OH, Tiffany Shepard (Dustin) of Salem, OH, Scott Cross (Abby) of Salem, OH, Sheila Gustkey of East Conemaugh, PA, Brittani Dunlap of Akron, OH, Cheyenne Kunder of Wellsville, OH, Dustin Deffanbaugh of Unity, OH, and Tiler Tremble of Salem, OH; 14 great grandchildren; former daughter-in-law, Dorothy Burner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends will be received on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 11:00 until the time of service at 1:00 at Hindman Funeral Homes (Frankstown). A luncheon will be held directly following the service at Melvina-Gustkey Memorial Park, 1333 Pershing Street, Johnstown, PA 15909.
