Obituary

Follmar, John David “Jay”, 82, Johnstown, passed away March 22, 2024. Born June 21, 1941, to the late George and Estelle (Heider) Follmar. Preceded in death by brother, George Follmar. Survived by loving wife, Jane (Tercek) Follmar; daughters, Angela Seidel (Bill), Stephanie Henninger (Kenny), and Melissa Wilson; grandchildren, Kayla (Deion), Alex (Mikayla), Allison (Phil), Luke (Kristal), Ben, Anne-Marie (Austin), Katherine (Tyrus), Ruby, Liza, Justin, and Chad; and numerous great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Jay retired from Sportsman’s after more than five decades of dedicated service. Jay was a car and a train enthusiast, a gun collector, a supporter of police and military, and a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He cherished moments spent with his grandchildren, as well as memories spent with his beloved pets, Maggie and Herbie. In accordance with Jay’s wishes, the family will be holding private services.
