Obituary

ECKENROD – Leroy “Lee” Joseph, 67, Johnstown, died at home January 10, 2011. Born August 3, 1942, eldest child of Joseph P. and Florence E. (Noon) Eckenrod. Preceded in death by father; sister, Rosemary; brother, Joseph; and brother, Michael.

Survived by his mother and his children; son Scott J. with daughters, Whitney married to Chris Patton and daughter Taylor; daughter, Vicki and husband Wayne Doddridge with children; sons Daniel, Joel, and Sam and daughters Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, and Gracelyn; and son Steve L. and wife Shelli with children son, Chaz and daughter, Rylee all of California. Also survived by brothers, Thomas and wife, Cheryl of Indiana; Robert and wife, Beth; Charles and wife, Stacy; sisters Catherine married to Herb Delawder; Patricia married to Denny Heptner; Sandy married to Tom Dynice; Trudy married to Joe Dona; Theresa Breach all of Johnstown and sister, Chris of California. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He served with the U.S. Navy for four years, honorably discharged in 1965. A 1972 graduate of Orange Coast College, Lee was a master carpenter always seeing the value of a job done right in his craft as in life. He worked for several oil companies while living in California, retiring an avid golfer and fisherman enjoying endless hours on the banks of every river he could find on a map. Not a day will go by that he is not in our thoughts, held in our hearts, whispered on our lips. We love you. God Speed, Dad.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15th, at Moxham Lutheran Church on Park Ave. Family and friends will be received at Lees home on Coal St. immediately following until 4 p.m.
