Obituary

Powell, Mary Louise “Toots”, 86, Johnstown, went to her eternal home January 12, 2018, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born February 7, 1931, in Johnstown, she was the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Pauline) Units. Preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband, Philip A. Powell. Survived by her loving children, son, Philip A. Powell II, married to Edna (Johns),Vinco; daughter, Diana Powell, Altoona; Grandchildren, Amy Marie (Powell) married to Marty Vivis; Nicholas Powell; Tammy Jo Berg; Jason and Gregory Swope; her sister, Joyce Miller, Hillsdale, PA; her brother Anthony “Sonny” Units, Pittsburgh, PA; Toots is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Toots was a former Jewelry Clerk at Glosser Brothers, and was also employed by Conemaugh Hospital, and Head Start. Toots will always be remembered for her kind, gentle, and joyful spirit, and will be sadly missed by whose lives she touched. At Toots request, there will be no visitation, and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, be the hands and feet of Jesus and reach out and make someone’s day a bit brighter.
