Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Matthew A. Malinovsky of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 39, on February 11,2024. Matthew was born in Johnstown on August 29, 1984. He loved all Pittsburgh sports but especially the Penguins. He enjoyed fishing, soccer, snowboarding, and hockey. He was recently employed by Everything Ice. Matt is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond M Bracken; paternal grandmother, Ginny Malinovsky; uncles, Jack (Patty) and Barry (Kelly) Bracken; and cousin, Andrew Keller. He is survived by his maternal grandmother Barbra Bracken; paternal grandfather, Anthony (Sue) Malinovsky; beloved mother, Susan Bracken; father, Michael Malinovsky; sister Megan Hare; brother Lucas Bracken; niece, Emma Hare; nephew, Hunter Hare; uncles, Raymond (Leann) Bracken, Kevin (Patty) Bracken, and David (Linda) Malinovsky; aunts, Marylynn (David) Mahla, Connie Malinovsky (Loren Stahl) and Patty (Bob) Keller; cousins, Courtney, TJ, Christopher, Sarah, Miranda, Zack, Shilo, Eli, Adrienne, Adam, Danny and Scott. As he goes from this world to God’s embrace, he will be sadly missed and loved beyond measure. A celebration of Matt’s life will be held on February 21, 2024, at 10:30 A.M., at Calvary United Methodist Church, 159 Chandler Ave., Johnstown, PA 15606.
