Obituary

Fetsko, Michael J. Sr., 76, Johnstown, passed away June 2, 2017, at his home. Born March 23, 1941 in Johnstown, son of the late Michael and Mary (Lotoczky) Fetsko. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia Gwynne (Hamer) Fetsko, his sisters Elizabeth Radasky, and Ileen Kush.  Survived by his children, Michael Fetsko Jr., Johnstown; Melissa G. Eldredge (Mark), Middletown, DE; Jonathan A. Fetsko (Melissa), Gaithersburg, MD; his grandchildren, Jillian Fetsko, Mallory and Matthew Eldredge, and Michael Fetsko; his sister Michalene Tomko, Johnstown; and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Michael graduated from Greater Johnstown High School Class of 1959. Michael served our country in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was retired from Walmart where he worked as a department manager.  He was a lifelong member of Christ the Saviour Cathedral.  He was an officer of the Russian Club, and also a member of the Harmony Club. Friends and Family will be received on Monday June 5, 2017 from 2 to 4p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Panachida will be held at 6 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. 1521 Frankstown Rd. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Christ the Savior Cathedral, 300 Garfield St. Johnstown, PA 15906 ; the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Robert A. Buczak, Officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Michael to Christ the Savior Cathedral. Military honors will be provided by the Conemaugh Valley Detachment #287 Marine Corp. League.
