Obituary

Shaffer, Ora M., 93, Seward, went home to be with the Lord Jan. 11, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 17, 1922, Johnstown, daughter of the late Wilbur and Leslie (McDowel) Smith. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer; daughter, Beverly Mihelic; and brother, Walter Smith. Survived by her children, Lawrence Shaffer and wife, Gail, OR; Sharon Lishka and husband, Terry, Seward; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ora was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Friends will be received Thurs. Jan. 14 from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Pastor Wendy Henderson, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church.
