Thiel, Othmar Sr. “Tim”, 84, died January 3, 2020 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born January 24, 1935 to the late Othmar and Catherine (Gillin) Thiel. Preceded in death by wife, Kathleen (Seifert); son, Stephen Thiel; and siblings, Pat Herter; and Joe Thiel. Survived by children, Cathy Barron (Keith); Tim Thiel; grandchildren, Nadine Hardison (Donald); David and Kristie Jenkins; Lily Thiel; great grandchildren, D.J., Daizon, Kaelyn, and Ryder; siblings, Rose Herter; Charles and Bernard Thiel; brothers and sisters in law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tim was a member of the West End Lions Club. Friends will be received Saturday January 11 from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
